People on TV/in movies rarely rinse out their mouths after brushing their teeth. What the hell?

i don't. *shrug* if you don't use a lot of toothpaste, you won't look like a dog foaming at the mouth and need to rinse.

It's not about appearance for me. It's about being able to swallow afterwards without throwing up.

Not to mention stray particles that are washed away by rinsing.

i don't swallow any toothpaste, gross. if you don't use tons, it's not an issue. :x
